A
Lower shank of the extended curet is 3 mm longer than the standard shank.
Working end is thinner in longer shank

How is a miniature different to a standard curet?
A
It is 3 mm longer like the extended curet but has a smaller working end.

What are standard and modified curets designed for?
A
Standard area-specific curets are designed for use in smaller periodontal pockets <4mm or =4mm in depth.
Modified curets are designed for use in periodontal pocket greater than 4mm in depth.
