Must be 1000ft above the highest obstacle within horizontal distance of 2000ft

Must be 1000ft above the highest obstacle within a horizontal distance of 500ft
Regulations for build up areas/ open-air assemblies of people: balloons
Must be 500ft above the highest obstacle within a horizontal distance of 500ft
Regulations for areas that are not built up/ do not contain assemblies of people
Airplanes/ balloons/ aircraft must be at least 500ft from any person/ vessel/ vehicle/ structure
When can a pilot fly below the minimum distance requirement ?
With an authorization from the minister of transport/ have air operator certificate that authorizes them to do so
For purpose of aerial inspection
Police operation
Saving human life
Firefighting/ air ambulance
Administration of fisheries act/ national/ provincial parks flight inspection
