mania- severe hyperfunctioning that impairs daily life and often leads to hospitalizations
hypomania- hyperfunctioning that increases/does not impair daily productivity
bipolar I vs bipolar II
bipolar I: mania episode (with or without depression)
bipolar II: HYPOmania with depressive episode
how can you tell apart methamphetamine intox vs PCP intox
- both are violent behavior
- but PCP has NYSTAGMUS
tourette syndrome vs chronic tic disorder?
while both have tics for greater/equal to 1 yr
tourette syndrome have BOTH motor and vocal tics
chronic tic disorder EITHER motor OR vocal tics (but not both types)
**remember vocal tics include coughing/throat clearning
