Who is responsible for an accurate count is placed on the prisoner log?
The OIC
How often will prisoners be visually observed in their cells. How about apparent suicidal or violent tendencies prisoners?
Every 15 minutes. Suicidal/Violent tendency prisoners will be observed more often base on their behaviors.
In the event of an evacuation who is responsible for coordinating it and where should prisoners be placed after evacuation.
The OIC is responsible and the prisoners are to be placed in Wagon 16 with at least 1 officer supervising the the wagon.
In the event of a prisoner escape, what is the procedure to be followed?
The OIC to be immediately notified, Description given to disp, neighboring depts & RISP notified, the OIC will secure cell block and complete a head count on the other prisoners/while checking all doors are functioning. In the event of apprehension, OIC will be immediately notified.
For Prisoner Release what procedure is to be followed?
The prisoner’s ID must be verified before release, a check of warrants, and all authorized property will be returned, or transferred to another facility with the prisoner.
A prisoner held in excess of _______ will be offered a meal. If refused the OIC will document on _____. The prisoner will be offered ______ meals in a 24 hrs. period.
8 hrs. Daily prisoner log. 3 meals.
