From the Code of Ethics based on IACP, what is the fundamental duty?
To serve the community, safeguard lives and property, to protect the innocent from deception, the week against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violator and disorder, and to respect the Constitutional rights of all Liberty, equality and justice.
What is the mission of the police department?
To provide excellence in policing service through aggressive pursuit of violators of the law and prevention of crime and disorderliness. To use their powers of arrest strictly in accordance with the law and with due regard for the rights of the citizen. PO can not persecute or mete punishment for the offense to the violator. Must have clear perceptions of their limitations regarding detention of the violator and to minimize the possibility of having to use force.

PO shall guard against being in the position in which any person can expect special consideration, thus PO shall be firm on refusing any gifts, favors or gratuities.
