- Airworthiness verification
- Originating Check

- Complete EFB Setup (FOM Ch 5 Flight Ops)
- PF enters the release/cleared routing into FMS
- PM Verifies routing entered correctly
- Verify Flight Instruments are set and X-Checked
- Setup COM NAV Freq and Courses for DEP
- PF Conducts T/O Briefing
- Pre-Start Check
When is the Safety Check required to be accomplished?
- Accepting an Aircraft
- Aircraft left unattended by flight deck crew
- Aircraft was completely powered down

By either pilot

After the Safety Check if:
- Accepting an aircraft

When is the Originating Check required to be accomplished?
- FFOD
- After a flight crew change
- After MX has been performed on the aircraft
- When the Aircraft was completely powered down
What is required to be checked for the Maintenance Status Check?
CA/FO Ensures that status will not prevent power being applied
Where is each flight deck emergency equipment item located? How is each item preflighted?

- 1 Escape Rope
- 1 Crew Escape Hatch
- 2 Flashlights (Blinking Indicator)
- 1 Crash Axe
- 1 PBE unit (Clear or Blue)
- 3 Life Vests
- 1 Halon Firex
Where is the list of required flight deck equipment/documents located?
EFB Company Manuals -> CRJ -> Flight Deck Documents/Equipment list.
What must be done if an required flight deck equipment/document is missing?
Replacement must be obtained by PIC before flight
During the Safety Check flow, after a crew swap and the aircraft remains powered, are you required to reset the hydraulic pumps to the OFF position?
No. (SOPM Ch 04-01.8)
After the Battery Master switch has been selected ON, what items must be checked?
- Flight compartment Standby Lights turn on
- MASTER WARN/ MASTER CAUT lights on, then reset
- ECP -> DC Page
- Verify MAIN BATT >22V
- Verify APU BATT >22V
When selecting WARN during the Firex Monitor Test, what indications are required for a successful test?
-Triple Chime/ Mast WARN light
-Fire Bell / “JET PIPE OVERHEAT”
-Following Switchlights:
> L/R ENG FIRE PUSH
> APU FIRE PUSH
> L/R BOTTLE 1 / 2 ARMED PUSH TO DISCH
> APU BOTTLE ARMED PUSH TO DISCH
-ED-1 Warning (Red) Messages appear:
