Superolaterally - biceps femoris
Superomedially - semimembranosous and semitendonous tendon
Inferolaterally - lateral head of gastrocnemius
Inferomedially - medial head of gastrocnemius
What is the floor of the popliteal fossa?
Popliteal surface of the femur, posterior capsule of the knee joint, and the politeus fascia covering the politeus muscle
What are the contents of the popliteal fossa?
Small saphenous vein, popliteal artery and vein, tibial and common fibular nerves, posterior cutaneous nerve of the thigh, and fat and lymph nodes
What are the three cutaneous nerve of the popliteal fossa?
Posterior cutaneous nerve of the thigh, lateral sural cutaneous nerve, and medial sural cutaneous nerve
What does the medial sural cutaneous nerve supply?
Skin on the posterior and lateral aspects of the leg and lateral side of the foot
What does the lateral sural cutaneous nerve supply?
Skin on the lateral aspect of the leg
