Policy
The one child policy promotes one child families and forbid couples from having more than one child in both rural and urban area. Parent with multiple children aren’t given the same benefits as the parents of one child
Social impact
If born under the policy the children will have to take care of their 2 parents and 4 grandparent
Chinese society prefer boys so often girls get abandoned or abortion
By 2020, it is estimated 30 million there will be more men then women, which might lead to social tension and unrest as more men find themselves unable to get married
economic impact
The number of young people starting work between the ages 20 and 24 will droopy half 2010 to 2020
Ageing population increase healthcare expense meaning working age decreased and so won’t have enough workers to support the economy workers to support the economy and the elderly
People age over 65 increased rapidly by 40% by 2050
Political impact
Government became more strict (abortion, trafficking can cause the rise of political ideas)
Environmental impact
Caused more harm from lighter consumption rate leading to increase in consumption in food , energy , other goods

Prevented birth 300 million babies being born
Reduced birth rate from 3.1 per women to 1.5 reduced the overpopulation
Couples with one child received financial rewards and welfare benefits
Couple with more than one child fined reported of forced abortion and sterilisation
But it leads to ageing population
