Q

This deck of virtual Latin vocabulary cards is intended to make reading Petronius’ Satyrica easier and to help readers acquire a permanent knowledge of Latin vocabulary. Each deck will provide all the new words in a given chapter, no matter how common (sum, in, ut) and no matter how obscure. It will not normally repeat a word given in previous chapters. Students are therefore advised to delete words from each deck as they are mastered, but to continue working on each deck until all the words are learned.

The text is the Teubner edition of Konrad Müller, Petronius, Satyricon Reliquiae. Berlin and New York, 2009

Acknowledgements

The ability to produce Latin vocabulary entries on such a massive scale, and to organize them in a pedagogically useful way is due to the Haverford College Bridge Program for Latin and Greek. I am grateful to Bret Mulligan of Haverford for creating this project and for his help in making use of it.
