 Management

A

 Emesis bowl/bag
 Cool, damp cloth
 Reduce stimuli (Dark, quiet environment)
 Change position
 Treat underlying cause…pain, hypotension
 Distraction and reassurance
 Medication/Antiemetics
 Unresolved PONV requires medical review to assess for other
causes/treatments
