Class: Pancreatic hormone, antihypoglycemic
Indications: Hypoglycaemia, hypoglycemia w/ unsuccessful IV
Contraindications: pheochromocytoma, allergy or hypersensitivity.

Dose (adults): 1.0mg IM
Pediatrics: 0.5mg (weight <25kg) 1.0mg (weight >=25kg)

Must be reconstituted with glycerine

A

Class: platelet aggregation inhibitor
Indication: Chest pain of suspected ischemic origin
Contraindications: Severe bleeds, Stroke, head injury, asthma exacerbated by ASA, NSAID allergy, Pediatrics with viral symptoms.

Nitroglycerin class, indications, contraindications

A

Class: anti-anginal, nitrate
Indications: chest discomfort of suspect cardiac ischemia
Contraindications: SBP <90(with Rx) SBP <100(without Rx), ED drugs (viagra, Levitra in last 24hr, Cialis in last 48hr), allergy, severe anemia, pericardial tamponade, (HR 50-150)

Indications: bronchospasm with wheezing
Contraindications: hypersensitivity, hemodynamically unstable tachyarrhythmias

Nitrous oxide class, indications, contraindications

A

Class: analgesic gas
Indications: moderate to severe pain
Contraindications: decompression sickness, inhalation injury, ventilation, inability to comply, NTG in last 5 minutes, embolism, pneumothorax
Cautions: COPD, facial trauma, abdominal distension, drowsy drugs, shock.
Must auscultate chest prior to administering.
