Need 2 out of 3
- oligo/anovulation
- hyperandrogenism
- polycystic ovaries on USS
What investigations are done for suspected PCOS?
Bloods
- raised testosterone
- low sex hormone binding globulin
- LH + FSH
- progesterone
- TFTs
OGTT
Transvaginal USS
What is seen on TV USS in PCOS?
12 or more cysts
Ovarian volume >10cm3
How is PCOS managed generally?
Weight loss
Lifestyle advice
Patient education

COCP
Cyclical progesterone
How is infertility managed in PCOS?
Clomiphene
Metformin
