Part 91 | Flight Operations Flashcards
Contingency fuel should be 5% of the trip fuel, and shall not be lower than the amount -
required to hold for 5mins at holding speed at 1 500ft above the destination aerodrome in standard conditions
Destination Alternate Fuel, shall be:
Where a flight is operated without a destination alternate aerodrome, the amount required to enable the aeroplane to fly -
for 15 minutes at holding speed at 1500ft above the destination aerodrome
Destination Alternate Fuel, shall be:
Where the aerodrome of intended landing is an isolated aerodrome:
For a reciprocating engine aeroplane, the amount required to fly for -
45 minutes plus 15 percent of the flight time planned to be spend at cruising level, including final reserve fuel, or two hours, whichever is less.
Destination Alternate Fuel, shall be:
Where the aerodrome of intended landing is an isolated aerodrome:
For a turbine engine aeroplane, the amount required to fly for -
two hours at normal cruise consumption above the destination aerodrome, including final reserve fuel.
Final Reserve Fuel:
For a reciprocating engine aeroplane, the amount of fuel required to fly for -
45 minutes
Final Reserve Fuel:
For a turbine engine aeroplane, the amount of fuel required to fly for -
30 minutes at holding speed at 1 500ft above aerodrome elevation
The PIC shall insure that at least on pilot at a pilot station wears an oxygen mask when the other pilot leaves the flight deck above -
FL410
Except when the brake are serviceable and are fully applied -
Chocks shall be placed in front of the wheels of an aeroplane before starting the engine or engines
Unless otherwise specified in an air traffic instruction, the PIC of an aircraft shall climb or descend to an assigned altitude or flight level at a rate less than -
1 500ft/min throughout the last 1 000ft
