A

KTR submits Source Approval Request (SAR) to POC in SB office to become a qualified source

What is a first article?

A

Occurs after award for supplies
ensures KTR can furnish a product that conforms to all contract requirements for acceptance
KTR demonstrates capability after award but prior to beginning work on any production quantities
No special approval required

A

Ensure contractor can repair govt owned item correctly before full performance occurs
