How does coastal management (building groynes for example) affect coastlines down drift?
It affects it by protecting the city so peoples homes will not get flooded or destroyed. The sediment is eroded away by water crashing into the material (concrete)
How does dredging affect the coastline?
Although it removes sand gravel, it affects the coastline further down through the process of destructive waves.
How does industry affect the coastline?
Building factories along the coast and giving off pollution. Oil rigs produces a lot of pollution and cruise ships and boats get rid of a lot of rubbish out on sea
How does development (jobs/houses/building) impact on the coastline?
Office development and housing is a massive thing on the coast as in central cities it is very expensive and is cheaper somewhere else, like Brighton. This makes the coastline very important for businesses and everyday living life
How is Swanage coastline affected by physical processes (geology, discordant, headland/bays, erosion/deposition)?
Sea defences, including groynes, and a sea wall has been built to protect the beach and the town which is swanage.

(management, industry, tourism, transport etc)?
