Q

Describe how the level and rate of urbanisation change around the world from 2010-2020

A

No notes:

More birth rates increases population, this mostly happens in cities e.g. London. This means people shift from rural areas to urban areas as there is more education, jobs etc. More cleaner cities.

With notes:

In Asia the urban population is from 43% (2010) to be predicted to 50% by 2020. This means there is natural increase of births as well as less death involved. Also another important factor is growth of migration which means there is more people which creates more jobs which then means more money is being given to the government which then helps the country’s development on education, transport, healthcare etc.

Q

Explain why the level and rate of urbanisation will change from 2020 onwards.

A

No notes:

More jobs available, more birth rates which means less death rates, more migration which increases population and more money is being earned through taxes which then helps the country e.g. transport, education, healthcare etc. More births in urban cities have better access to healthcare which means children are less likely to die whereas in rural areas they don’t have access to better healthcare which means there is more death rates and less birth rates in children.

With notes:

In Asia the urban population will be at 50% in 2020 and is predicted to go to 65% by 2050. This is because there are more opportunities available such as jobs are increasing, more people are becoming educated which means there is more job opportunities available which leads to more people having money to spend and this builds the economy up.
