A
Produces enzymes that are secreted into the main pancreatic duct, which chemically digests carbohydrates, proteins and fats, into simple sugars, amino acids, and fatty acids.

A
Release hormones insulin and glucagon, by exocrine glands called pancreatic islets.

Organ located on the left upper quadrant of the abdomen, between the stomach and the diaphragm. Stores blood, and phagocytizes foreign blood particles.
