A
Presence of second fetus or unfavorable fetal position

Pain, uterine rupture, hypotension, tachycardia, dysrhythmias, N/V

Oxytocin Dosage and Administration
A
Adult: IM 10u following delivery of placenta; IV infusion 10-40u/1,000ml non hydrating diluent @ 20-40 milliunits/min. Titrate to uterine response and bleeding
