- IV 5 min, IM 10-30 min

- HEAD TRAUMA
- ALOC
- SYSTOLIC BP<100

Morphine precautions
A
- Respiratory depression (asthma, COPD)
- Elderly
- Hypotension
- Pregnant
- Right ventricular MI

Morphine dosage and administration
A
Adult:
IV/IM 2mg increments every 2 min up to 10mg with BP>100.
Pediatric: .01mg/kg IV up to 10mg. Contact MBCH

Morphine adverse reactions
A
Respiratory depression/arrest, hypotension, N/V, bradycardia, heart block
