A
- Sick sinus syndrome
- 2nd and 3rd degree heart block
- A-FIB WITH WPW OR SHORT PR SYNDROME
- HYPOTENSION <90 SYSTOLIC
- Cardiogenic shock
- wide complex tachycardia
- AVOID USE IN PATIENTS ON ORAL BETA BLOCKERS

A
- Can cause hypotension
2. Impaired renal or hepatic function

Diltiazem dosage and administration
A
Adult:
INITIAL DOSE - 15 TO 20 MG IV OVER 2 MINUTES. SECOND DOSE AFTER 15 MINUTES, IF NEEDED 20 TO 25 MG IV OVER TWO MINUTES
