A
- Increase BG by converting the liver glycogen to glucose
2. Relax smooth muscle of stomach, duodenum, small bowel and colon

A
- IV 1 min, IM 10 min
2. IV 25 min, IM 30 min

A
- BG< 80, if IV access is difficult
- Beta blocker or calcium channel blocker overdose
- Foreign body obstruction in esophagus

Glucagon dosage and administration
A
- Obtain Dexi
- Adult:
a. Hypoglycemia: 1mg IM
b. Beta blocker OD: 3-10mg IV slowly over 3-5 min - Pediatric:
a. 20kg give 1mg IM

V/V, Allergic Reaction, HA, Hypertension, Dizziness
