Authority and Responsibility the Captain
FULL & FINAL AUTHORITY, brings RESPONSIBILITY to DIRECT & SUPERVISE, you may DELEGATE, by NOT LEAVING. (Only a) QUALIFIED - FLIGHT DECK (for take-off and landing), can LEAVE THE COCKPIT, but you are RESPONSIBLE for the logbook & GD. 2 through 4 plus 8.
1 - FULL & FINAL AUTHORITY
The captain shall have full and final authority for exercising judgement and taking actions to ensure the safety of the flight.
2 - brings RESPONSIBILITY
During flight, the captain shall assume the full responsibility for the safety of all persons and cargo on board his/her airplane and for the safe operation of his/her airplane.
3 - to DIRECT & SUPERVISE
The captain shall direct and supervise all other crew members on board his/her airplane in performing their duties.
4 - you may DELEGATE,
The captain may delegate a part of his/her duties to another flight crew member on his/her own responsibility.
5 - by NOT LEAVING…
The captain shall not leave the flight deck for the purpose of taking rest unless the deputy captain takes the pilot seat.
6 - (only a) QUALIFIED
A flight crew member qualified for the Area/Airport shall take the pilot seat during take-off or landing.
7 - FLIGHT DECK (for take-off and landing)
The captain shall be on the flight deck during take-off or landing to the extent possible, even if he/she is not in charge of manipulating the airplane.
8 - can LEAVE THE COCKPIT
When the captain leaves the flight deck, he/she shall be required to give instructions to his/ her proxy about items anticipated, and receive reports related to the operations during his/ her absence immediately upon his/her return.
9 - but you are RESPONSIBLE for the logbook & GD
The captain shall assume the responsibilities for keeping the Flight Logbook (hereinafter referred to as the Journey Log & Radio Log) and General Declaration
10 - 2 through 4 plus 8
If three or more pilots are in composition, the above mentioned ② through ④ and ⑧ shall apply to the deputy captain during take-over
