Range of Motion Loss - OA of Hip

The first range of motion to lose is internal rotation.

Thomas Test
A
Used to assess for a fixed flexion contracture (FFC) of the hip.
Patient draws knees to the chest and then releases one leg downwards. If the other leg moves or the back moves, it is a positive sign.

Minimum Range of Motion for Comfort
A
About 100 degrees.
Sitting down is hard to get up from it less than this.
