Squamous Cell Carcinoma in-Situ
A
Also known as Bowen’s disease
Important to distinguish from actinic keratosis, superficial BCC, and inflammatory lesions.
Treatment is excision.

Acral Lentiginous Melanoma
A
Melanoma occuriring exclusively on the sole of the foot or palm or in the vicinity of the nail apparatus.
Most common melanoma of dark-skinned patients.
Not related to sun exposure.

Keratoacanthoma
A
A common low-grade skin tumour that is believed to originate from the neck of the hair follicle. This is unlikely to metastasize.
