What are some red flags for non-accidental injury in paediatrics?

A
  • Unusual fractures (bilateral long bones, multiple fractures, infant ribs, spirals in non-ambulatory)
  • Burns
  • Head injury
  • Unusual bruising sites (e.g. not over bony prominences)
  • Unexplained injury, discordant history, negative interaction between child and carer
