A
- Genital skin care (less soap, scents, scrubbing), review contraception, lidocaine, amitryptiline, lubricants

How might someone with vaginismus present? What might therapy involve?

- Presentation
- Symptoms: dyspareunia, loss of libido, non-consummation
- Signs: inability to be examined
- Treatment: acceptance of self, self-examination

How might you assess the cause of someone’s loss of libido/lack of desire?
A
- Assessment: is it really a problem and for who? Primary or secondary? In what circumstances? Constant or fluctuating? Desire discrepancy? Relationship effects?
- Causes: lifestyle, partner issues, different expectations, societal issues

What are some therapies you might recommend for a woman with the premenstrual syndrome?

CHO 3-hourly, exercise, hormonal/SSRI therapy
