  • if not responding to benzodiazepines(a maximum of 2 doses can be given), can give IV Phenytoin, Keppra or sodium valproate

Cluster Headache duration?

A

15 minutes to 2 hours
- patient presents with severe headache, needing to pace around in the room and wanting to bang head against wall and maybe vomit.
Mx: 100% oxygen, prophylaxis= verapamil
