unconscious processes
heartbeat, breathing, digestion, blood pressure, sexual arousal
communicates between organs, CNS and skeletal muscles
Parasympathetic Nervous System
calms down body
conserves energy
slows heartrate
stimulates intestines, digestion and bladder
