A

the wording of the question affected how the participants remembered the speed. The participants who got the word ‘smashed’ reported faster speeds than the word ‘contacted’

These findings demonstrate that memory is fallible due to the process if reconstruction.

Participants reconstructed the memory by adding new information to the long-term memory, meaning that eyewitness testimonies a susceptible to the memory being reconstructed to include false information
