Topic Intro / Why
I’d like to tell you about another TRV innovation that is moving WC to the future by using tools and resources that we didn’t previously have. And one of the things we are seeing is the use of technology. What you do today on your cell phone is far more than you did two years ago. And what you will do 2 years from now, you can’t even imagine. The customer’s perception of having the ability to function more digitally is key. We are seeing a greater demand for this. This allows us to have, for injured workers, more flexible and self-service options by allowing them access to their claim information through their computers and especially their phones.
How
My Travelers for Injured Employees is a web portal so that injured workers can have information to help them return to work. It allows them to obtain information on their claim including payment status. And, they can message their claim team with specific questions. We are looking to expand this tool to have text messaging and e-pay capabilities in the future as well as the ability to scan documents.
What’s In It For Me?
The key to a successful claim outcome is engaged injured workers. And this is just one of the tools that we are using to try to get that employee population engaged in the process.

Do you know of any other carriers that are offering this feature to their customers? It’s embedded in every one of our WC policies. Has nothing to do with premium size or anything else. Which customers or prospects do you have in mind that could benefit?
