Normally during snowstorms, useful for confined spaces
What is a stokes basket?
rigid stretcher, useful for pt removal in remote locations
What is the benefit of a scoop stretcher?
don’t have to log roll pt, you can scoop them
What pts are short backboards used for?
seated patients
You have a 72-year-old obese male patient in his bathroom sitting on the toilet. Your assessment revels he is unresponsive, apenic and pulseless. You must preform CPR however the bathroom is too small for CPR to be effective. You and your partner choose to rapidly move the patient outside of the bathroom into his kitchen.
