Mod 2- Endocrine system Flashcards

1
Q

what are the main secretary products of the thyroid gland

A

T3(thyroxin)
T4( triiodothyronine)
-both increase metabolic activity

4
Q

what type of receptors does follicular cells have and what does it release

7
Q

how does the body stem thyroid hormones (if body needs t3/4)

A

TSH will be sent to blood and receipted by follicular cells, iodine moves in and production of thyroglobulin is created, iodine is added and moves back into follicular to make t3/4
