What are the ways to sync a mobile device between android and PC?

A
  • The first and most common way would be syncing via the cloud. Examples of this would be Microsoft One drive, Drop box and through googles cloud service
  • Synchronization for android and PC can also be done through Windows PC via a USB connection, Bluetooth or WIFI and then manually syncing contacts from device and PC and also calendar etc( E.G. Microsoft Outlook)

What are some ways to sync an apple mobile device

A
  • Like android devices IOS devices and commonly synced with the cloud( specifically icloud) the device connects to the Icloud servers and all contacts, calendar data are synced.
  • You can also connect an IOS device to a PC and detect it in the Windows Explorer file system same as android. But in order to actually sync data you would have to use Itunes for windows and then sync using outlook etc.
  • Connection can be made also via USB or via wifi.

  • Single Sign on. You login using a username and password and then multiple apps sync to provide you with your emails, contacts calendar updates and other data. E.G gmail, Yahoo microsoft exchange etc
  • Another way to synchronize would be using a localized NAS( Network ATtached storage) that automatically syncs with a mobile device
  • Can also sync to a desktop computer but system will need to meet certain requirements such as OS version, hardware specs and drivers and possilby third party software to communicate with the mobile device.
