A

Apply max manual braking and full reverse. Once applied max braking, a/c will say “SET MAX REVERSE”.
Below 70kts, if MAX REVERSE [Red] is no longer displayed on PFD, and think can stop, can set idle reverse

When do you get GPS PRIMARY?

A

When the FMS Nav Mode is IRS/GPS (alternative modes are IRS/DME/DME, IRS/VOR DME AND IRS ONLY) and EPU within prescribed tolerance.

I THINK you get GPS PRIMARY LOST when the GPS EPU>0.05NM.

When GPS PRIMARY, NAV ACCUR always HIGH

In the cruise, what should you do if you get GPS PRIMARY LOST?

A

Just means no longer using IRS/GPS for navigation. Using IRS/DME/DME, IRS/VOR DME or IRS ONLY.

Check EPU. Check trend.

A

Red arrow light comes on in front of crew member losing priority. It points across the flight deck at the pilot who has control.

CAPT/FO light:
- Both flash if both move sidesticks and no one takes priority
- When pilot has taken priority and other sidestick is not at neutral, it illuminates in front of the pilot with priority

(To deactivate sidestick, press pb for 40sec. If both push pb, last pilot to press pb gets priority)
