Lobectomy (common OSCE patients);

Indications;
o Lung ?.
o Bronchiectasis: less common now.
o Chronic lung ?/ TB.
o Fungal infections: life threatening ? due to aspergillus.

Inspection: thoracotomy scar (can be ?), with chest wall ?
on the side of the surgery (ribs pulled in over the surgical site).

Palpation: tracheal displacement ? the surgical site. ?
expansion on that side.

Percussion: ?-resonant on the side of the lobectomy as the remaining
lung ? to fill the cavity.

Auscultation: ? air entry over the site.
