What is a guardianship order?
Where someone else has been appointed to make decisions on behalf of the AWI (can be financial +- welfare)
Can you use the AWI 2000 act to get adults to remain in hospital without their will for treatment in their best interests?
No - you would need to use the MHA 2003 to get them detained.
If someone is accused of a crime can they use the criminal justice and licensing act 2010 to get a reduced sentence solely on the basis of them having a diagnosed personality disorder?

What does the diminished responsibility mean for people with a mental health disorder?
It means they can get their sentence reduced or be excused of their crime due to their mental state

How does Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 define adults at risk?
Unable to safeguard their own well-being, property, rights or other interests
At risk of harm; and
Because they are affected by disability, mental disorder, illness or physical or mental infirmity, are more vulnerable to being harmed than adults who are not so affected.
