Pilot Incapacitation
If a cockpit crew member becomes incapacitated:
Senior Cabin Crew Member CALL
Once crew member is in the flight deck:
Incapacitated crew member’s seat Tighten and lock shoulder harness
Push seat completely aft
Recline seat back
It takes 2 people to remove the dead weight of an unconscious body from a seat without endangering any controls and switches. If it is not possible to remove the body, one cabin attendant must remain in the cockpit to take care of and observe the incapacitated crew member.
In coordination with the purser: Request assistance from any medically qualified passenger. Check if a type qualified company pilot is on board to replace the incapacitated crew member.
Unreliable Airspeed Indication
QRH ABN-34.1
AP/FD/ATHR OFF
Announce “Unreliable Airspeed”
Thrust/pitch:
Below THR RED ALT: TOGA/15°
Above THR RED/below 10,000ft CL/10°
Above 10,000ft CL/5°
Flaps if CONF FULL, set CONF 3 and MAINTAIN
if CONF 1-3, maintain current config
Speedbrakes check retracted
L/G retract
At or above MSA, level-off and start troubleshooting.
GPS ALTITUDE Display on MCDU
Loss of Braking
QRH ABN-32.1
Brakes APPLY
If no brakes available: Reverse select MAX Brake pedals release A/SKID & NWS OFF Brake pedals APPLY – maximum 1000psi
If still no brakes available:
Park brake short sharp applications
EGPWS Alert

Any “PULL UP” call (“PULL UP”, “TERRAIN AHEAD – PULL UP”, OBSTACLE AHEAD – PULL UP”) Thrust levers TOGA A/P OFF Pitch full backstick and maintain Speedbrakes check retracted Wings level
When warnings stop and flightpath is safe: Reduce pitch to accelerate
When speed is above VLS and vertical speed is positive: Thrust levers CL ATHR reset F/D ON A/P ON Configuration clean up as required
TCAS RA
• Traffic Advisory - “Traffic”
PF: “TCAS, I HAVE CONTROL”
PF and PM: Crew attempt to make visual contact with traffic
• Resolution Advisory - Any “CLIMB”, “DESCEND”, “MAINTAIN V/S MAINTAIN”, “ADJUST V/S ADJUST”, “MONITOR V/S” type message
PF: AUTOPILOT Disconnect
F/D: Request “FLIGHT DIRECTORS OFF”
Pitch: smoothly to the green band
PNF: F/D: Both OFF
Transmit: “EZY###, TCAS RA”
• Once clear of conflict: PF: Original altitude: regain AUTOPILOT: ON F/D: ON Altitude: PULL Heading: as required Speed: PUSH
PNF: Transmit: “CLEAR OF CONFLICT, RETURNING TO (LEVEL)”
or
“CLEAR OF CONFLICT, (LEVEL) RESUMED”
Emergency Descent:
PF: Announce: “Crew on oxygen”
Announce: “Emergency descent”
FIRST LOOP
Altitude: twist & pull

Speed: pull & crossover
Speedbrakes: extend slowly

Windshear – on approach (predictive)
PF: Announce: “Go around, flaps”
Thrust levers: TOGA
SRS: follow. Full backstick if req
PNF: Flaps retract 1 stage
Flap setting ANNOUNCE
PF: FMA: MANTOGA/SRS/GATRK
PNF: Positive climb ANNOUNCE
PF: Request: “GEAR UP”
PNF: Gear retract
Windshear – on approach (reactive)
PF: Announce: “WINDSHEAR, TOGA”
Thrust levers: TOGA
SRS: follow
If no FD, pitch to 17.5° initially
PNF: Do not change configuration until clear of the windshear
When clear of the shear – PF call “GO AROUND, FLAPS” and resume go around procedure
Stall Warning at Lift-Off
QRH ABN-80
Spurious stall warning may sound in NORMAL LAW in the event of a damaged AoA probe. In the event:
Thrust TOGA
Pitch Attitude 15 degrees
Bank Wings level
Stall Recovery
QRH ABN-80
As soon as ANY stall indication (aural warning, buffet…)
Nose down pitch control apply
Bank Wings level
When no longer stalled (no indications)
Thrust smoothly apply
Speedbrakes check retracted
Flightpath recover smoothly
If in CLEAN CONFIG and below 20,000ft
Flaps 1 select
Rejected Takeoff
CM1:
Announce: “STOP”
Thrust levers: FULL REVERSE
Braking: monitor (or brake manually if A/BRAKE not working)
Wind: consider – turn into headwind, away from tailwind
When the aircraft has come to a stop:
Thrust levers: FORWARD IDLE
Park brake: set
Announce: “ATTENTION CREW AT STATIONS”
CM2: Braking: monitor
Announce: “REVERSE GREEN, DECEL”
Audios: cancel
ATC: inform
Through 70kts
Call: “70 KNOTS”
When the aircraft has come to a stop:
Emer evac cxl: locate
Dome light: ON
