Q

Engine failure in cruise actions and strategies?

A
FCTM - operating techniques
Thrust levers MCT
Disconnect autothrust
Pull Speed according to strategy
Pull Heading (off airway? Towards alternate?)
Pull Alt for OP DES

Standard strategy
Speed .78/300kts for engine relight
Set REC MAX EO cruise alt from PROG page

Obstacle strategy
Speed green dot
Set drift down ceiling from MCDU PERF CRZ page

Once level and/or clear of obstacles find LRC performance from QRH or FCOM PERF, re-engage autothrust.

Q

OEB48

When should you turn off two ADRs?

A

Anytime, with speed above VLS, if aircraft goes through a continuous nose down pitch rate that cannot be stopped with side stick inputs.

If Alpha Max strip (red) completely hides Alpha prot strip (black/Amber) in stable wings level path.

If Alpha prot strip (black/amber) rapidly moves by more than 30kt during manoeuvres with AP on and speed brakes retracted.
