1. Report everything - Include every small detail of the event they can recall. May not be relevant at the time, but can trigger later memories.
2. Reinstate context - Witness returns to crime scene in mind and imagine environment and emotions
3. Reverse the order - Recall in different chronological order to the original, for example from end to beginning or middle to beginning.
4. Change perspective - Witness should recall incident from another persons perspective. For example, how the situation appeared to the offender or other witnesses
