Hypertrophy:
the increase in the volume of an organ or tissue due to the enlargement of its component cells
Insomnia:
is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling and/or staying asleep
Ischemia:
restriction in blood supply to tissues, causing a shortage of oxygen and glucose needed for that area
Korsakoff’s Syndrome:
chronic memory disorders caused by severe deficiency of thiamine (vitamin B-1), brain disorder associated with heavy alcohol consumption
Leukocytopenia:
decrease in the number of white blood cells
Myelitis:
infection or the inflammation of white matter or gray matter of spinal cord
Neuralgia:
a stabbing, burning, and often quite severe pain that occurs along a damaged nerve
Neuritis:
inflammation of one or more nerve
Oophorectomy:
surgical procedure to remove one or both of your ovaries
Osteochondritis:
joint condition in which a piece of cartilage, along with a thin layer of the bone beneath it, comes loose from the end of a bone, most often in young men, particularly after an injury to a joint, most common in the knee but can occur in other joints
