Q

Approach to Stall

PF/PM

A

PF:

Initiate the recovery:
Hold the control column firmly
Disengage AP and AT
Nose down elevator to reduce AOA or stick shaker stops

Cont the recovery:
Roll in the shortest direction
Advance thrust as needed
Retract speedbrake
Do not change gear or flap except
During liftoff if flaps are up, Set Flaps 1

Complete the recovery:
Check a/s and adjust thrust
Establish pitch att
re-engage the AP and AT

PM:
Monitor Alt and a/s
verify actions, call out omissions
call out trend towards terrain

Overweight Landing

Approach Flaps

Flaps up speed

Autolands

A

if flaps 30 + additive is above: -400(167) / -8
(175) use flaps 25

Flaps Up: No lower than Vref + 100

Autolands are not recommend. Closely monitor if required. eg CAT 3

Q

RTO

Capt / FO

Considerations After RTO

A

Capt:

Close thrust levers, disconnect AT

verify RTO autobrakes or apply max manual braking

Raise Thrust Levers to idle detent and apply as necessary

Raise Speed brake if not up

FO:

Verify actions

Call:
“Speedbrakes up”
or
“Speedbrakes NOT up”

“Reverse Normal”
or
“No reverse engine(s) number _____”
“No reversers”

“80 kts”

Advise tower

Consider the following:
Brake cooling
Need to the clear the runway
Wind direction in case of fire
NNC

Q

Ground Proximity Caution

Accomplish the following maneuver for any of these aural alerts:

Caution Obstacle
Caution Terrain
Sink rate
Terrain
Don’t Sink
Too low terrain

Too low flaps
Too low gear
Glideslope
Bank angle

Daylight VMC

A

correct flight path or airplane configuration

Too low flaps, Too low gear, Glideslope, Bank angle: Go-Around

Daylight VMC: if a terrain caution when flying under daylight VMC and positive visual verification is made that no obstacle or terrain hazard exist the alert may be regarded as cautionary and the approach may be continued

PF / PM

Daylight VMC

A

PF:
Disengage AP/AT
Max Thrust
Wings level, Pitch 20 deg
Retract speedbrakes
if terrain remains a threat, pitch to PLI, stick
shaker, initial buffet

Do not Change gear or flap configuration
until clear of terrain

Monitor radio altimeter

When clear of terrain, slowly decrease pitch
attitude and accelerate

PM:
Verify actions and call out omissions

Daylight VMC: if a terrain caution when flying under daylight VMC and positive visual verification is made that no obstacle or terrain hazard exist the alert may be regarded as cautionary and the approach may be continued
