anticholinergic drug contraindications
uncontrolled narrow angle glaucoma
urinary retention
decreased gastric motility
anticholinergic drug warnings
agitation
confusion
drowsiness
dizziness
blurred vision
hallucinations
Anticholinergic drug side effects
dizziness and drowsiness (greatest with/ oxybutynin and less with newer drugs)
dry mouth
constipation
dry eyes and blurred vision
Oxybutynin patch/gel vs oral
cause less dry mouth and constipation than oral forms
Beta-3 agonist drugs
Mirabegron (Myrbetriq)
Vibegraaon (Gemetst)
** efficacy seen within 8 wks **

urinary retention in patients with BPH and when used with anticholinergic drugs

Nocturia treatment medicaiton
Desmopressin only FDA approved
Desmopression boxed warning
severe, life threatening hyponatremia can develop
