  1. injury surveillance (systematic way to record injuries)
  2. season analysis (look at season beforehand to identify risk periods)
  3. Preseason screening (find athletes who may have a higher risk for injury or illness - fitness test)
  4. monitoring ‘at-risk’ team members
  5. RTS (decision should be agreed upon by all SEM team members
  6. Education (make sure everyone is on same page)
  7. Equipment and facilities (ensure they are safe)
  8. EAP (be prepared)
