Q

What is the phenomenon of Pavlov’s dogs

A
  1. food is presented to a dog, and a response is seen
  2. a whistle is presented to a dog, but no response is seen
  3. the whistle and the food are presented together to gain a response
  4. the whistle alone now gains a response (due to the previous stimuli of food associated)

Q

Are the UR and the CR the same behaviour?

A

yes!
- think about Pavlov’s dogs; drooling at the food vs drooling because of the conditioned response to the whistle is the same behaviour, just for different reasons
