Looks at exact consumption over a specified period of time
What are the limitations of a Diet Record?
- High demand on the individual
- Requires literacy therefore is unsuitable for certain groups
- Could influence what people eat based on motivation to weigh out the foods/fear if judgement
What is a diet history good for?
Looking at habitual patterns. Not used to work our measurements but compare individuals intake of food groups vs recommended intake

Considered habitual/usual intake
-Asses the frequency of intake of certain foods over long period of time
