How does blood pass through the heart?
A
- blood enters right atrium through vena cava
- Passes through tricuspid valve to right ventricle
- Passes through pulmonary valve and pulmonary artery to lungs
- Enters left atrium through pulmonay veins
- Passes through mitral valve into left ventricle
- Passes through aortic valve and is ejected out of aorta to rest of body

A
Aortic, Tricuspid and Pulmonary valve all have 3 cusps
Mitral valave has 2 cusps
Aortic and pulmonary valve are the semi-lunar valves
Tricuspid and mitral valves are the atrioventricular valves
Thier role is to prevent backflow of blood
