strengths and weaknesses away from hostile forces

What should be done prior to interacting with the media?

Answer 4

• Check identification or press credentials.
  If identification or press credentials are produced, continue
  with interview.
• If no identification or press credentials are produced, refer
  the individual to your chain of command or public affairs
  representative.

Are Soldiers free to share DoD and DA unclassified information
on their personal social media accounts?

Answer 5

Only if it has already been publicly released by the Dod/DA
provided no laws or regulations are violated.

Question 6

Can Soldiers use their affiliation with the Army for fundraising
purposes on their personal social media accounts?

Answer 6

No, except for approved fundraisers such as CFC
(combined Federal Campaign) and Army Emergency Relief.

Question 7

Situational Question: A news reporter comes up to you and asks
you what you think about our new president? What can you do
in that situation?

Answer 7

First, ask if they have their credentials. However, you
cannot make comments about the Commander in Chief in
or out of uniform. If you were to make a comment, you need
to report it to the chain of command immediately. You can
refer the reporter to talk to the Public Affairs Office.
