What is Equal Opportunity (EO)?
The Army provides equal opportunity and fair treatment for
military personnel, family members, and DA civilians without
regard to race, color, sex, religion, or national origin. This policy applies both on and off post, during duty
and non-duty hours, and applies to working, living, and
recreational environments (including both on and off post
housing).
What is the Equal Opportunity philosophy based on?
Fairness, justice, and equality
Situational Question: You have a Soldier who is being discriminated
against due to the color or their skin/religious belief/sexual
orientation/gender, what can you do to help?
Encourage the Soldier to handle the situation at the lowest level
possible, if things do not get better, I will intervene and we can
go see the EO rep.
