Q

What is BE, KNOW, DO?

A

Army leadership begins with what the leader must BE,
the values and attributes that shape a leader’s character.
Your skills are those things you KNOW how to do, your
competence in everything from the technical side of your
job to the people skills a leader requires. You cannot be
effective, or a leader, until you apply what you know,
until you act and DO what you must.
(BE a leader, KNOW what your doing, DO the right thing)

whom you must conduct counseling. What type of counseling
must you conduct and what is the purpose?

A

I would conduct Reception and Integration counseling
which serves two purposes: (1) to take care of any
issues such as housing, transportation, etc. the Soldier
may have, and (2) lets the Soldier know the
organization’s goals and standards.
