  • Sex Cells .
  • Chromosomes are singular and not paired.
  • Non-identical cells, produced in Meosis.
  • Humans: Sperm + Egg.
  • Plants: Pollen and Egg.

What is sexual reproduction?

A
  • Involves the fusion of male and female gametes and mixing of genetic information.
  • Offspring recieves genetic material from bith male and female parent creating variation.

What is asexual reproduction?

A
  • Includes one parent.
  • Does not involve gamete and mixing of genetic material.
  • Offspring are genetically identical (clones).
  • Meiosis does not take place.
  • Only involves mitosis.
